The use of "Decision to Leave" at 11:26 is one of the best uses of atmospheric music in the entire series. It was used at the end of FC, but its use here in this specific scene is flawless. I know this is an old video and everyone's likely come and gone, but I want to express just how goddamn amazing this entire dream sequence is and how important it is for strengthening Estelle's resolve. She's fully aware that it's not necessarily her real mother, but she feels happy that she can at least see her again. It's not real, but that's totally fine. Just seeing her mom again is enough to pick her up and make her realize what she needs to do. Not even Luciola's fake dream could knock Estelle down. It only made her tougher than ever.

I must say, trails series is one of very few fantasy serieses where church isnt actually bad, its so common that church is bad or corrupt, trails one isnt

I just finished Azure and this is still my favorite game in the series. The deep commitment to fleshing out characters that it took to set aside a whole game just for diving into their psyches and emotions, while teasing future story turns and unraveling the trauma of what used to be a side character is astonishing, and totally exemplifies what i love about this series, and what I somewhat worry it will lose in the cold steel arc, but we'll see. Oh, and plus, dungeon crawling with characters you've played for like 100+ hours at this point all at level like 130 and fighting nuclear superbosses in a dream world is an absolutely insane blast. There's just no other JRPG series committed to that kind of long term storytelling and level curve.

This comparison is AMAZING. Incredible video. My favorites: LEGENDARY: 1. FM TOWNS. The instruments just have this incredible punch to them and it feels like the instruments volumes were balanced well. I The instruments feel slightly compressed, giving a a nice crunch without being over compressed. 2. IBM PC/AT. Something about the compressed samples sounds so comforting and charming. It also sounds the most full, like there's nothing missing in it. 3. PMD Arrange Album. I can't decide how I feel about the intro. It sounds really cool, but it makes the guitar intro sound less cool. The instrumentation is great though. It doesn't sound nearly as full as FM TOWNS or DOS though. 4. Refine. Hearing everything in non compressed sounds amazing. I all of the love the ochrestra hits it added. I can't tell if the guitar is a real guitar or just a synth, but it's really good. It feels like it shoudl be higher, but I think it sounds a little less full than the ones above it. Good but lacking: 5. PC-98. The guitar, bass, and percussion all sound incredible, but the rest of the instruments feel a bit lacking. 6. PC Engine. Very charming, but I don't think it can hold a candle to the best of the best. 7. Sega Saturn. I like the guitar, but the some of the sampled instruments sound a little weak. Not my Taste: The midis lack the oomph the rest of them have in my opinion. Also, I feel like the PMD98 is too different to be fairly compared to the others since it's not just PM2.

Holy..fucking...shit, this might be THE BEST "reveal" scene in any game Ive played. The way the Liber Ark appears. Even the smartest man on that ship starting to freak out and yell orders. It knocking out ALL orbal technology for what seems like enough to knock out all of the U.S and Canada combinde if it appeared in our world. The GOD tier music. And of course Weissman with that epic villain monologue. I wouldn't change a thing.

Whilst I love the modern Trails games, they still haven't come anywhere near what SC did in gravitas. From the build up, to the STILL amazing 3D animation cutscenes they use for this and the fight with the airships. Sends shivers every time I watch these.

SPOILERS After finishing the cold steel saga and watching this scene, made me realize that Lechter character development could have been better. If he betrayed Osbourne during the end of cold steel 3 it would make more sense with Osbou8rne assumptions and lechter's inner feelings on both scenes.

Rewatching this scene reminded me of a crucial world-building point: multiple dimensions exist. I'm betting this factor will be relevant in Ouroboros's ultimate plan.
